Best Single of the Year

This has to go to Lady GaGa & Beyoncé’s Telephone for a number of reasons, the first and most important one being it’s the most amazing song ever done since Bad Romance. Other than that, it’s an absolute banger, and who hasn’t yelled out to someone ‘STOP TELEPHONING ME’ at some point in their lives? 5 star.

Best Album of the Year

Late in 2009 there was an artist on PopJustice that caught my attention. Her name is Marina Diamandis, but she’s better known as Marina & the Diamonds (the Diamonds being her fans). She released her debut album, titled The Family Jewels, in February and it quickly became my favourite album of the year. It’s one of the few albums I don’t get tired of listening to from the beginning till the end.
